  1. is there a way to specify how much memory is available to the server? This is the only server on the machine so I wanted to make sure its allowed to use as many resources as needed

  2. Hey there, we are playing with a lot of people. The Server starts lagging with around 6/7 player in a quite big village.
We have some recources on our VServer. Is there any possibility to boost the performance? Like in Mincraft with RAM for example

  3. Came to your post from Reddit, thanks for all the help. Only thing I would say is you go through the config file quite quick and the colour scheme is a bit difficult to read, other than that, got a server up and running in Debian

  4. hello, I have again ne question about the cronjob, apparently I had set it up incorrectly and wanted to ask for confirmation if it is now correct?

    */5 * * * su – steam -c '/opt/steam/valheim/vhserver monitor > /dev/null 2>&1

    directory/username/game/vhserver

    Thanks

  5. Thank you for this video! As a total newb trying to figure out my unraid server this was a life saver. I felt like an idiot googling how to exit VI editor haha

  6. Hi when I run ./vhserver start it does not go through the loading like yours does. Any idea what could be causing this?

    It says:
[ OK ] Starting vhserver: NAME
    [vhserver@Valheim-Dedicated ~]$

Checked steam and cannot locate it with IP:2456/7

  7. Hello, I have a question about the ports, these are 2456, 2457 & 2458.

Well, my server runs with TCP and UDP on 2546, you have to log in on 2457.

How is that if I still run a 2tn or 3rd server, the logical it would be to run the 2nd server on 2458, but then the Querry is on 2459 ?

Is it possible to start 2 more servers, with 2457 /2458, and the other then with 2458/2459 ?

    lg

  8. idk what I am doing wrong but it crashes shortly after starting. Here is the last part of the log right before crash if anyone is willing to help.

  9. @toon v.h, If you type ./vhserver , you will get all commands for LinuxGsm listed.

So if it says Commands : update-lgsm, then don't type that, but what's behind it, so "ul".

In this case then: ./vhserver ul

or first ./vhserver m, then: ./vhserver dt, then: ./vhserver ul, and last but not least : ./vhserver cu, and if there is a new version of the game, then: ./vhserver sp, then: ./vhserver u, so all steps are done !

Hope I could explain it so far, so that it comes over understandably.

  10. Managed to get this working with the help of this guide, many thanks. So far I've been unable to migrate a world to my server, tried replacing the .fwl and .db files with ones from another install, but they are just ignored and new ones created in their place.

  11. i followed all the steps exactly but i cant find it in the server browser, i have port forwarded 2456-2458 on my firewall and regular port forward. help, please.
