Get Started with Postman Mock Servers

This video covers the other side of creating APIs – when you are ready to test your client-side calls to an API but the server-side code is not ready yet.
Postman allows you to create Mock Servers that you can use to create documentation as well as to generate test data for your client-side AJAX calls.

  1. Oh my God, thank you @Steve Griffith. Finally some decent native english speaker AND a great presentation. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  2. I don't know if I am a lazy programmer, however your explanation was so precise that I didn't need to read postman documentation. I just needed this demonstration! Thank you! Obrigado from Brazil!

  3. Hi there. Thanks for your video. It's simple and clear, helped me a lot 🙂
By any chance, you would be aware of any ways to set the headers of the preflight OPTIONS request you show at 13:48 ? The goal here to solve the CORS error I get, but I'm kind of stuck :s

    Thx for any response

  4. Hi Steve, very useful tutorial, do you happen to know if it is possible to simulate endpoints with url parameters?
    like:

    {{url}}/endpoint?name=daniel

what I'm trying to do is simulate a filtered and paginated response by setting this parameters

    is that even possible???

    thanks!!!
