1: Introduction To PHP | Procedural PHP Tutorial For Beginners | PHP Tutorial | mmtuts

For a long time now, my PHP tutorial course has been in need of an upgrade. So here is episode 1 on my new Procedural PHP tutorial course for beginners!

For my Patrons I just want to mention that the first 7 or so videos in this course, were recorded and edited long time ago. So the Patron supporters at the end of the first 7 videos doesn’t match with my current supporters. But I will have you all included in the newer videos 🙂

  1. Hi everyone! Thanks for waiting! 🙂

It has been a long 3 months since the last video. After 8 years of doing tutorials I really needed that break to reflect on my channel and overcome getting "burned out". I'm still taking it slow, and there is no fixed upload schedule yet, so I'm not sure how often there will be videos up.

As you can see this is the first video to an updated PHP course, since that it the course most people are on my channel for. The existing "old" course on my channel is from quite a few years back, which means it has a few flaws and is just plain "bad" in terms of recording quality ':D So I'm excited about updating it to a quality level that won't need updating for many years.

For my Patrons I just want to mention that the first 7 or so videos in this course, were recorded and edited long time ago. So the Patron supporters at the end of the first 7 videos doesn't match with my current supporters. But I will have you all included in the newer videos 🙂

    Thank you everyone! Stay safe.

  2. Hi I'm a new learner and fresher as well…I follow the same procedure but I got the version of XAMPP control panel v3.2.4 I'm not able to follow the same….possible to guide me

  3. Super Helpful thanks!! I hoping to use WordPress, but a bit more programmatically, so i hope I'm in the right place to start my journey. i already know HTML and Swift (iOS) so should pick it up easy enough. Love your style!!

  4. you have the the most clear way to teach people things. you teach as slow as possible with a more understandable way of teaching. Thank you for that. even english is not my main language there are people who teach the same topics in my mother tangue but I prefer to learn things from you even the language is not my main language thanks for that. Keep it up man.

  5. please sir i really need your help am learning to code but my Vscode is really misbehaving when ever i try type in a tag e.g <h1> the cursor isn't stable don't know why.

  6. 8:01 Hi, I'm new to your channel and you're a big help to me as a beginner. I just have a question about deleting htdocs folder contents, I have different files and folders here such as dashboard, img, webalizer xampp, etc. Is it still safe to be deleted?

  7. Quick question, he mentions that you require knowledge of HTML in order to learn PHP, is it completely necessary or is it like javascript that it could help but not really necessary? I ask because I'm trying to find the start point to get into programming but every time I look at a "beginner" video it seems that there is an underlayer of knowledge that is required. Please help!

  8. Thank you so much for your awesome tutorial videos. I am 44 this year, desperately to change my career from lost job to front end developer this year. Your patiently slow explanation of teaching is my savior.

  9. like most videos you follow the instructions, which is very clear i must add, but it never works. After installing the XAMPP when you say delete the files in the htdocs folder, what you have as the files under the htdocs is not the same as what i have on my download. Also when you select the control panel with file ending .exe i dont have that. So confusing and difficult from the very start, so NOW i cant get the apache and MYSQL servers to run
